2006 Beaver Coach Patriot recalls
There is 1 NHTSA recall campaign associated with this vehicle configuration.
Steering
ON CERTAIN MOTOR HOMES, AN IMPROPER NUT AND BOLT COMBINATION WAS USED TO CLAMP THE INTERMEDIATE SHAFT ONTO THE STEERING SHAFT. WITHOUT THE PROPER NUT AND BOLT COMBINATION, THE NUT CAN LOOSEN PREMATURELY AND ALLOW THE BOLT TO COME OUT WHICH COULD ALLOW THE INTERMEDIATE SHAFT TO BECOME DISCONNECTED FROM THE STEERING COLUMN SHAFT.
LOSS OF STEERING CONTROL COULD OCCUR, INCREASING THE RISK OF A CRASH.
DEALERS WILL INSPECT THE NUT AND BOLT COMBINATION. IF THE IMPROPER COMBINATION IS INSTALLED, DEALERS WILL REPLACE IT WITH A NEW NUT AND BOLT. IF THE COMBINATION IS CORRECT, DEALERS WILL RE-TORQUE THE EXISTING COMBINATION. THE RECALL BEGAN ON NOVEMBER 21, 2006. OWNERS MAY CONTACT MONACO AT 1-800--685-6545.
