What fixes it

Official remedy

DEALERS WILL REPLACE THE STEERING DAMPER FREE OF CHARGE. THE RECALL BEGAN DURING SEPTEMBER 2008. OWNERS MAY CONTACT BMW AT 1-800-831-1117.
