What can happen

Safety consequence

A high-voltage battery that overheats increases the risk of a fire.

What fixes it

Official remedy

Owners are advised to park outside and away from structures and limit their charge to a maximum of 70% until the recall repair is complete. Dealers will inspect and replace the battery modules as necessary, free of charge. Owners may contact Volvo Car’s customer service at 1-800-458-1552. Volvo Car's number for this recall is R10355. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall will be searchable on NHTSA.gov beginning January 26, 2026. This recall was replaced by recall number 26V103.
