What can happen

Safety consequence

If the warning lamps are not operable, the user may not be warned that there is a problem with the pump's engine. Failure of the pump's engine may inhibit the ability to contain a fire, increasing the risk of injury.

What fixes it

Official remedy

KME will notify owners, and dealers will reverse the wires leading to the warning/indicators or provide a plug-in wire repair harness, free of charge. The recall began December 11, 2018. Owners may contact KME customer service at 1-800-235-3928.
