IF THE DRIVER IS SLOW TO REACT DURING THIS ESC INTERVENTION, THE VEHICLE MAY DEVIATE FROM THE INTENDED LINE OF TRAVEL, INCREASING THE RISK OF A CRASH.
What fixes it
Official remedy
NAVISTAR WILL NOTIFY OWNERS, AND DEALERS WILL INSTALL A NEW ESC MODULE FREE OF CHARGE. THE SAFETY RECALL BEGAN DURING FEBRUARY 2012. OWNERS MAY CONTACT NAVISTAR AT 1-800-448-7825.
