Official remedy
DEALERS WILL INSTALL A NEW O-RING IN THE FINAL-DRIVE ASSEMBLY. THE RECALL BEGAN ON OCTOBER 27, 2006. OWNERS MAY CONTACT BMW AT 1-800-831-1117.
