What can happen

Safety consequence

AS A RESULT, IF THE GENERATOR IS OPERATED AT THE SAME TIME THE CHASSIS ENGINE IS RUNNING, EXCESS FUEL COULD BE DELIVERED TO THE GENERATOR, CREATING A POTENTIAL FOR A GENERATOR STALL AND POSSIBLE FUEL SPILL. IN THE EVENT OF A FUEL SPILL, A FIRE COULD OCCUR.

What fixes it

Official remedy

DEALERS WILL INSTALL AN APPROVED KIT THAT DRAWS THE GENERATOR FUEL SUPPLY DIRECTLY FROM THE FUEL TANK. OWNER NOTIFICATION IS BEGAN MARCH 24, 2003. OWNERS WHO TAKE THEIR VEHICLES TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER ON AN AGREED UPON SERVICE DATE AND DO NOT RECEIVE THE FREE REMEDY WITHIN A REASONABLE TIME SHOULD CONTACT COACHMEN AT 1-800-453-6064.
